WOW! What a great reunion! The committee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone for attending and helping to make this our best reunion yet. Check out the pictures HERE. We have a limited number of the booklets left over. These booklets are 8.5"x11" and have 23 pages. They list names, addresses and short biographies of everyone that returned a registration form. They were given away at the Big Soiree, but if you didn't attend that event we are offering them here on the website. They are $3 each, postage included. Click this button to purchase a booklet.
How to know you graduated in 1987: 1. You did the King Tut Strut on skates at the World of Sports 2. You know that the lyrics of Duran Duran, Pat Benatar, Madonna, Van Halen, and Cyndi Lauper are all prophetic truth. 3. You knew the design differences between a Big Wheel and a Green Machine. 4. You know the profound meaning of "WAX ON, WAX OFF". 5. You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off and his cheeks shifted. 6. You remember Hypercolor t-shirts. 7. You remember boom boxes. and walking around with one on your shoulder like you were all that. 8. You owned a banana clip. 9. You remember "Where's the Beef?" 10. You had big hair and you knew how to use it. 11. You wouldn't miss The Dukes of Hazzard on Friday nights, and you were happy when you were finally old enough to stay up late enough to watch Fantasy Island. 12. You owned a Swatch Watch. 13. You had the original Atari game system. And it came from Roses or Hecks. 14. You begged your mom for a Member's Only jacket, and it had to come from Leggett or Glen More. 15. You remember using a rotary dial phone to call your friends, and you might have still been on a party line. 16. You played Ms. Pac-man so much that you got blisters, then calluses. 17. You actually believed that Mikey, famed kid on the Life cereal commercials, died after eating Pop Rocks and drinking a Coke. 18. The 'real' name of those shirts was Alligator Shirts, not Izod, and you wore them with the collar up. 19. You owned a Jordache anything, or you remember when Jordache jeans were cool. 20. You remember "Friday Night Videos" before the days of MTV. 21. You remember that music that was labeled "alternative" really was. 22. You're starting to believe that having the kids go to school all year wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. Halifax County High School Class of 87 1987 reunion.
